How do I get a password?
There are two ways Injured Workers can obtain an IW password, and both are available from the "I don't have a Password" Claim Menu page. Both links on this page, Submit an Appeal and Apply for an IW Password, will allow you to submit a password request. You need only select one of them.
Submit an Appeal
If you choose to submit an appeal and have not yet applied for an IW password, we will automatically generate a password request for you as part of the submission process. This is done for your convenience, as you need an IW password to access your claim information through ICON. Once the request is processed, your IW password will be mailed to the home address you have on file with us. We expect you will receive it within three business days. If you do not receive it within five business days, call our IT Helpdesk for assistance at 614-644-6595 (local) or 877-218-4810 (toll-free) during normal business hours.
Apply for a Password
Clicking the "Apply for an IW Password" link submits an IW password request to the IC using the claim number and Social Security number you provided. Once your request is processed, your IW password will be mailed to the home address you have on file with us. We expect you will receive it within three business days. If you do not receive it within five business days, call our IT Helpdesk for assistance at 614-644-6595 (local) or 877-218-4810 (toll-free) during normal business hours.
