Ohio Industrial Commission District Hearing Officer Named August 2026 Employee of the Month

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Industrial Commission congratulates Ryan Bonina, District Hearing Officer in the Columbus Regional Office, on being named Employee of the Month for August 2026.

Bonina was nominated by one of her coworkers and chosen for the award by the agency's Employee of the Month Committee.

“I'd like to nominate Columbus DHO Ryan Bonina for Employee of the Month for her consistently positive influence on our work environment,” Ryan's Employee of the Month nominator began. “While Ryan is a smart, empathetic and conscientious Hearing Officer, she is an even better co-worker.”

“Ryan goes out of her way to make the office environment more cheerful for all. She volunteered to organize the office water club and has encouraged an office fitness challenge,” Ryan's nominator continued. “She brings donuts and treats for the office and hand soaps for the kitchenette and restroom.”

“She is a desired mentor by nervous new Hearing Officers upon whom she has a calming effect,” the nominator added. “Ryan's tenure with the agency has been short but her small acts have been impactful in creating a positive work culture.”

Bonina is a District Hearing Officer in the Columbus Regional Office. She started her career at the IC in August 2024. Her supervisor is Felicity Hillmer, Columbus Regional Office Manager.
