Notice of Special Meeting

A Special Meeting of the members of the Ohio Industrial Commission will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. The purpose of this Special Meeting is limited to the following: Possible revision to the following Adjudications Before the Ohio Industrial Commission policies to comply with recent statutory changes enacted by the 133rd General Assembly: Memo A1--Exposure to Blood or Bodily Fluids; Memo A2--Professional Employer Organizations; Memo I1--Continuing Jurisdiction- Ten Years and Five Years; Memo L1--Hearing Room Demeanor Memo M3--Adjudication of Claims with the issue of Exposure to Blood or Bodily Fluids as Delineated by R.C. 4123.026; Memo R11--Use of Cellular Phones, Telephonic Pagers, Personal Computers, and other Audible Devices in the Hearing Area Specified; Approval of 2020 Ohio Industrial Commission Meeting Minutes as scribed from audio recordings of meetings: March 12, 2020; April 15, 2020; June 3, 2020; September 14, 2020; October 28, 2020 and to meet in Executive Session to discuss personnel (upcoming vacancies of hearing officer trainer and Cleveland Regional Manager).

The meeting will be held via conference call as a precaution against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in accordance with Sub. H.B. 404, signed by Governor Mike DeWine and effective November 23, 2020, which extended the time period in which public bodies may hold remote meetings as originally set forth in Section 12 of the Emergency Legislation Am. Sub. H.B. 197, signed by Governor Mike DeWine and effective March 27, 2020.
