The Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation are Currently Reviewing the Wage Loss Rule

The following information is being provided pursuant to the requirements of EO 2011-01K and Senate Bill 2 of the 129th General Assembly, which requires state agencies, including the Ohio Industrial Commission, to draft rules in collaboration with stakeholders, assess and justify any adverse impact on the business community (as defined by SB2), and provide opportunity for the affected public to provide input on the rules.

The Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation are reviewing O.A.C. 4125-1-01.

As part of this review, the Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation have initially determined that the agencies should rescind the current version of 4125-1-01 and enact a new rule, bearing the same number, due to the number of proposed changes to the current version.

The Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation welcome comments regarding the proposed changes to the wage loss rule.
